Photo AlbumWhy they call Canada the "Great White North"Dec 22, '07 1:52 PM
for everyone
For those of you who have never been to Canada -- and more so for those of you who have never seen snow -- here is the photo evidence of why they call Canada the "Great White North." Upon first approaching Canada from the air, you may think you are actually landing on Io, the frozen chunk of ice that orbits the planet Jupiter. Upon closer inspection, however, you will actually find evidence of life. My first thought whenever I fly into the Great White North in winter is: "Why do people choose to live here...???"

in the air over canada

still looks like jupiter's moon

still a frozen chunk of ice

frozen ice with frozen lake

frozen ice with frozen trees

getting closer...

wow. that's a lot of snow. my grandmother and aunts live there. they say Canada was voted the best place/country to live in (i don't know when). i get a migraine when it's too cold, so i was never to tempted to migrate. have a warm xmas lynn.
